Network Management Software System
(Firmware Update Server System)
Suminet has designed and developed network management
software system that supports the operation of
IP Set-top Box (MPEG2/MPEG4) . At present, we
are in collaboration with Sumitomo Electric Network
Inc developing Software Updating Service System,
which may promise long-distance-management, updating
service, surveillance on Quality of Service (QoS)
and maintenance on IP Set-top Box.

IP Set-top Box usually connects to TV set, monitor
and video camera, supporting stream media-based
interactive-communication of network multimedia,
animation or video contents. Software Updating Server
developed by our company is eligible to manage IP
Set-top Box applications set in terminal user house
one by one. If such server finds it necessary to
update software to the latest version, the system
will automatically do updating work, requiring no
setting or operations by terminal users. Furthermore,
this service system may also help different terminal
users or groups to do updating work in different
time by preliminarily setting detailed plan of software
updates with regards to different users or groups;
and help users perform updating work in time when
they do not watch TV programs by preliminary settings,
as has much intellectualization and convenience.
